Custom Digital Media Centre from old laptop

Hello again, thought id rack your brains one more time on another build im planning.

I have a laptop which is about a year old, but both the hinges have broken the monitor is completely detached, i have been thinking, what would be quite cool would be a very small pc to have in the kitchen or bedroom. my general idea is find are really deep frame (need some help on that) that can accomodate the samsung laptop screen (15.4 inch widescreen) and the laptop body (havent yet measured its dimensions properly). as well as having the laptop in it, i intend to remove the battery so there is a cavity on the back. in this cavity (via USB extensions) i want to put a cheap tv tuner (which can be hooked up to one of those sky mouse thingies so it can recieve sky) and a wireless base for a wireless mouse and keyboard, and preferably also a usb wireless antenna. so in effect making a small media centre with net access, also i intend to mount a set of small speakers on the side to give optimum sound quality.

ill get some diagrams of what i mean tomorrow when im at school and i have acess to a cad package. but please thoughts and tips are very welcome.

Be kewl if u could flip the screen, so that it`s face-up where the keyboard would lay.

Re-route the off/on button, and figure an internal way to setup a wireless keyboard/mouse.

Of course u`ll be able to USB a mouse/keyboard for installing/fixing stuff if u ever have an issue - but - u`ll end up with a 3" think or so monitor box that u could mount somewhere and control wirelessly.

Sounds an awesome ideal for fudged laptops that inherently work.

U even got USB or pcmcia ports for tv stuff if u want.

sorry i obviously didnt make that clear, i have the screen completely seperate from the body of the laptop, and it has none of the casing on it so it is indeedn going to be facing outwards. its going to be a sealed unit with only a power cable coming out. ive looked at some prices of things and i got a total cost of around 100 pounds. but could anyone reccomend some tv tuners that are good, preferably USB, or pcmcia i suppose.

ill get the cad drawings done soon.
