Hopefully the optimizations will make 2xAA and/or motion blur usable; using either of those generally cut me down to ~10fps @ 1680x1050. Also some crash fixes would be nice as the game crashed on average once every couple hours when I played it.

Overall though I was impressed with the quality of the 1.0 version of the game; it's better than most.
 
For me guru3d is usually faster with downloads.

Also according to a post on SLI zone a new nvidia driver is coming out in the next few days to add a bit more improvement, atm all I know is that there is a 20% more or less increase on DX10 with ATI cards.

ed up all my saved games - I'm almost at the end of the game.

The saved games load, I drop all my weapons and the AI doesn't kick in and everyone/thing stands around frozen. I can interact with the odd thing but it's ghey.

FFS. I'm not restarting this until I decide my OS/gfx upgrade.

Sorry... shouldn't laugh. :(

That sucks mate.. Had to restart doom 3 about 5 times due to losing game saves for various reasons.

I haven't played for weeks and weeks and I thought, I'll patch it and finish the game... Grrrrrr.

Oooo actually I win.. I've just remembered this!!

Back in the day when I was playing Final Fantasy 7 on PS1 I got to the last bit in the crater when you could only save the game once.. Anyway this was over 100 hours into the game as the counter had started again from zero and gone red.. I had one of those 16 page memory cards but it w@nked up and erased my all save games for all games on the whole card... It done it more than once when I got back to the same point so I didn't complete that game for another 8 years or so.

Yeah man when the heartache had finally subsided, I figured give it another bash.. Wasn't as hard as I remembered as I was still pretty much a kid when I was playing it before.

DON'T INSTALL THIS!

I've had nothing but trouble. It seems to have totally corrupted my game. Lost all my saved games and every time i reinstall then add the patch the game won't work.

I'm reverting back to the unpatched version (which for the record never, EVER, gave me any issues)

Bah.
