Crysis 3 System Requirements Released

Have to say I am happy about the spec's required apparently to max the game out.

Minimum Requirements are:

CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo E6600/AMD Athlon X2 5200+
Ram: Windows 7/8 2Gb, Windows Vista 3Gb
GPU: AMD 5770/Nvidia GTS 450

Recommended Requirements are abit dodgy because apparently the following cpu's are ok for the recommended spec regardless of EA stating a Quad Core would be required and we all know they are Dual Core CPU's.

CPU: Intel Core I3 530/AMD Phenom II X2 565
Ram: Windows 7/8 & Vista 4Gb
GPU: AMD 5870/Nvidia GTX 560 or better

Finally High Spec Requirements

CPU: Intel Core I7 2600K/AMD FX8150 or better
RAM: 8Gb or better
GPU: AMD 7970/Nvidia GTX 680 or better

Going off the performance and looks of the Alpha Trial, Crysis 3 is set to become, the new game for graphics cards to be benched against each other in reviews and possibly bringing back to life the old "But Can It Run" catch phrase.

Asking for more than an i5, eh? Have they revamped the engine to take advantage of more threads? How interesting :)

Not to sure to be honest.

I know with my rig, at 1920x1080 maxed out I was only just pushing 35fps to 45fps at the max settings the Alpha would offer.

Whilst I expect this to improve with the release of the game being more optimized etc, I still think I may only manage 50fps possibly 60fps.

Not bad, still I'm pretty sure a GTX 670 would be able to max the game out, as the difference between the 670 and 680 is minimal.

Talking to Fez about this, and i'm dubious of the system requirements. The game had better look damn, damn good for it to justify such hardware requirements. If not, it's just a case of the game being made inefficiently so as to be used as a hardware benchmark. I wonder out of all the sales of Crysis 1 + 2 how many were actually bought to play the game, not just see if your system was powerful enough to play it.

So what does recommended system requirements actually mean? I mean like if you meet the recommended then how well will it run? 30fps?

^^ i always get annoyed by that to. Just tell me what fps range and what settings :P

Hope it looks better than crysis 2 did at the time it came out :/

You can visit me sometimes and play with me
I mean my GPU´s :D
Hahahaha, that "" really add's something to that joke :p
I'm actually saving up for a new rig. But when I have the money, the next generation GPUs and CPUs will probably at least have a release date :p

I'm pretty sure no matter what happens Crytek will get a lot of hate. Gamers are the biggest bunch of cry babies on earth. We cried and moaned because Crysis was too demanding and you had to buy expensive video cards like the $500 GTX295 in order to play on max settings. Then we cried and moaned when Crysis 2 came out and it wasn't demanding enough.

I'm sure the reception for Crysis 3 will be the same.

I'm looking forward to it regardless how demanding the graphics are cause I really liked all the Crysis games.

Deffo need a GPU upgrade, my GTX460 1GB will probs do low to medium. Although the Alpha was very playable, going to be interesting how it handles the game once its out

Pretty sure your upcoming build will handle fine, that is if you're upgrading your GPU along with your whole system :D

The phrase "But can it run Crysis?" shalt return.

I should be able to run on high with an OC on my 7950, the 8xxx series is out between March and April though and i'm guessing they will have no probs running it.

I'll be getting the gpu's around sometime when i watercool, it will be a slow build, bit by bit but should turn out good :D
