Crysis 2 & SLI

I have been playing Crysis 2 this morning, with EVGA Precision running on my other screen, when playing GPU1 is running 90-100 load GPU2 is running at about 5, SLI is enabled, but why is it only 1 card taking the full load and not both? is this normal?

Temps

GPU1 - 86 ish

GPU2 - 60 ish

I know SLI is working ok, as both Black Ops & BFBC2 - both GPU loads go up, But crysis 2 only GPU1 takes the load (I guess Crysis 2 doesn't support SLI)?

Crysis 2 is not guarunteed to work in sli/ crossfire. It'll work on the Gtx 590 but a 6990 will bring up screen tearing. i'm afraid you'll have to disable one of the gpus most likely (Even if you don't have a dual gpu card)

some sites are reporting that there is not a SLI driver for the game yet, while another guy posted that a NVIDIA update driver has both his cards running at 100% just fine.

This is the link he gave for the Driver update he is using NVIDIA SLI AND MULTI-GPU PROFILE UPDATE

On the Nvidia page it says this update is specifically for the demo, and the guy that said it works was talking about the demo, but maybe it will work on full version as well, and if not, you know they will put a specific update out for that very very soon.

Post back if you try it out and let us know what happens.

I'm waiting to play Crysis 2. The first one is one of my favorite games, but until the SLI issues are fixed and DX11 is patched on, I'll wait it out.

This isn't a SLI patch but it is graphics setting program which enables you to change AA, motion blur and a few other settings LINK

I'm with hmmblah though i'll wait for the DX11 patch and integrated graphics settings before I buy it.

i can only set to high settings for my 3-way GTX 580 to be totally playable.

extreme settings will hover around 30 - 50 fps.

2 stock 480's with EVGA's SLI patch ran the campain with 50-60% average load each, no problems. I've read Nvidia has released a new driver today with C2 SLI, off to see the wizard, the wonderful lalalala

Even though it's only using one gpu I'm getting between 30 and 60 fps at highest settings 1920*1200 on my gtx460, can't see how I get the same as a gtx 580

LOL

You may be waiting a loooong time the way things stand at the moment.

6 months to a year doesn't bother me. Maybe it will have a good steam deal by then as well. The devs say a DX11 patch is coming, but haven't said a date. I'll only play one through I'm sure so I'd rather wait and play it in DX11 than in DX9.

Errrrr, what I meant was probably not gonna happen,Check Nvidias site, they have removed Crysis 2 from the DX11 list, and also Crytek have removed DX11 from their site and from the details of the cryengine 3(which were still there yesterday btw)

WTF, I thought you were joking around as in it will be ages before we get the patch as well

This is not good, basically if this is true Crytek has lied to the PC gaming community and turned their backs on it. They promised us a non console ported version with advanced graphics settings, AI, physics and DX11. And now non of this is true, I played it at a friends earlier and the AI is dumb, really dumb, the enimes just run arround everywhere throwing grenades and sometimes running toward the grenade after they have thrown it. The only graphics settings are resolution, Vsync and three graphical levels normal, advanced and hardcore. On top of all that it's DX9 only.
