Crucial Unleashes their BX200 Solid State Drive with amazing Price/GB

So good to see quality SSD's dropping in prices. The future is looking bright for fast compact storage.

Think i'll grab me the 250gb version for games, waiting for the christmas sales first though to see if there are any better deals on older or different models.
I'm happy with Crucial's SSD's though, been usin a MX100 for about two years now.

£235 for 1tb is still to steep for me, and honestly in this day and age i need the space more than the speed. im happy to have a 120/250gb ssd for my os. but untill they drop down to about 1/2 the price they are now "or even less" they are still just a bit of exotic e-pein for anything other than a os drive.

I would love to have nothing But SSD's in my system. but as i need 2tb or 3tb drives for most of my hard disk then the SSD is is only valid as a os drive.

I'm with you there dude but hopefully another 6 months or so will bring them down even more so I can get a 1tb

Having said that I paid near €300 for a 256GB Samsung Pro (cant remember the model) back in 2011 not much more for these 1TB models now :p

its RRP slightly more.

I can't find the MSRPs on Crucials website, but at my go-to retailer, the average price difference is about £0,01/GB, with the BX100s being "cheaper," so there's apparently no real difference in price/GB. Not in my case, anyway. With the BX100s being larger and faster, I'm probably going to stick with that after all, then -_-
