just want some opinions here, as the crucial balistix, is about $100-150 cheaper here in Australia, do they both overclock the same, or does one do a better job then the other.cheers.

I've actually been using the Ballistix PC2-8500 in my rig for the past few months. It does 1200mhz with 5-5-5-15 timings at 2.25v no probs.

However, if you want the chance to hit over 1200mhz, then FlexXLC is obviously the better option.

well il be running my ram in Linked mode, and trying to achieve 3.6ghz Stable:P

and as far as i know il need 1065mhz ram in Linked mode to achieve that.

so with either one of these sticks i could really achieve it, i guess its a matter of saving the Money and goin for the Ballistix perhaps??

If you're only aiming fore 1065mhz the Ballistix will suit you down to the ground :)

ye i Just placed an order on some crucial Ballistix tracer's 8500(1065mhz)2 gig KIT, i like the LED extra that comes on them hehe...

Too late! You've ordered!

All I was going to say is this ram won't guarantee a stable OC at 3.6...

I was in the same boat a while back, ordered some Dominator ram (1066mhz) for stupid money (they'd just come out) and... Nothing.

Never got a stable (as in prime/orthos) 24/7 clock...

i can always cancel man...what ram did you want to recommend? if i wanted to hit a stable 3.6ghz O.C

if your cpu will do 400x9 for 3.6 GHz stable, then you only really *need* DDR800 mem.

400, 1:1 "linked" and "sync" mode

your memory should not hold you back...

if the CPU can do 3.6GHz, then it should be able to do 3.6 with pretty much any memory because you have the option of running unlinked as well (if needed)

i cant run 1:1 because i have a 680i Mobo Apparantlyand besides i already tried 2.4ghz @ 1:1 lol comp wouldnt even goto Windows, and so id have to run it in Sync Mode.anyways wateva the outcome here, il be running my ram in Linked Mode only 3:2,as im not to familiar with unlinked settings...anyways what would be the better out of both these two rams, when it comes to running 3.6ghz in linked mode? would the OCZ maybe give me a more stable job the the Ballistix??
