Criterion and Codemasters Cheshire are teaming up to "create the future of NFS"

I've got a 100% success plan for EA concerning NFS:

  1. Hire the guy who's currently remaking NFSU2 in UE5: 2Unreal4Underground
  2. Remake NFSU with last NFS' cars plus some newer models, keep the tuning options and especially make custom exhausts also alter the car's sound.
  3. Provide some sort of racing pass that inclued additional parts but NO performance parts
  4. 2 years later, remake NFSU2 with the same additions and definitely make each custom HiFi-System in the trunk alter the music's sound.
  5. ???
  6. Profit
  7. Gaming community and 90s kids happy.

Well after Dirt 5 not having support for my wheel and then burnout paradise remake having no wheel support, that is the one thing they should focus on as i can 100% say if it doesnt have wheel support i'm not buying it idc how good it is.

For me personally the only 2 really good street racer games that really gave you a feel of "fast and furious" were NFSU2 and 2015's NFS, The rest go a little over the top arcadey.

You're in a very small minority and wheel support often isn't easy. Neither of those games are sims and wheels in my experience just don't work very well because of the arcade handling. You've got DiRT Rally games for using a wheel instead of DiRT

I cant really understand why you want a wheel for NFS. Its quite horrible really as NFS Heat supports wheels and when I tried it, I went straight back to controller.

Almost any other racing game, the wheel was a welcome addition but for the NFS franchise I think its different. its too much of an arcade. Forza horizon does it much better, and while an arcade, makes it feel less so once you use a wheel. NFS though seems like they simply lost their way.

e.g. Take drifting
Drifting involves swift lock to lock of steering sometimes which is horrible when you have a FFS wheel and somewhat high resistance. I'd expect it would torture some wheels in the market.

I'm not so much intrested in the game, but it seems everything EA touch is doomed these days, codemasters I have much respect for however under EA's hands it'll not end well.

Dirt 5 was a huge disapointment for me as it only supported the newest wheels and no reason for that at all, now under EA's wing it's going to get worse i feel.
