N Nicz New member Feb 16, 2016 #1 Hello I've just finished building my new PC (i7 6700K, Maximus 8F), i check the CPU core voltage on CPUZ and the voltage is constantly changing from 1.25 up to 1.35 , shouldn't it be constant ? i have set the voltage @ 1.250 and LLC at level 8.

tinytomlogan The Guvnor Staff member Feb 16, 2016 #4 Depoends on your requirements dude. Best thing to do is set it and then see. If youre running stock you could probably undervolt it too.

Well i didnt get this board and a 300 euro watercooling system to run it on stock is there a guide i can follow to OC this thing? cuz there are so many OC options and i feel lost in the BIOS.

Click to expand... Not from us yet but there will be within the next few weeks. Although you need to get out of the habbit of smashing LLC to 8 straight away! Our old overclocking guide basics still stand true for Z170 tbh, things might be worded differently but the processes are still the same.

N Nicz New member Feb 20, 2016 #7 btw for anybody facing the same problems i had, just update the BIOS to the latest version (0403). All my problems were solved by updating the bios.
