CPU Cooling for LGA771 (Dell T5400)

Looking at what my options are outwith using the original Dell supplied passive blocks. Not going to be installing the RW203 into a Dell T5400 so case restrictions are relevant as I have multiple cases to suit whatever may be available.
Will be running dual xeon 5460's and am open to water cooling.
Any suggestions appreciated. ( I know option XY or Z may be better and or cheaper and I have multiple other rigs so as to avoid the thread bogging down in how ever well meant irrelevant advice )
I happen to have the board and the CPU's so really only seeking to perhaps tap into the knowledge of others here regards the after market products available .

Would you mind providing a list of the cases you have? As you state in the OP that you are open to watercooling. Though the 5460s dont necessarily require watercooling, it could be a viable solution.

Options I had in mind were
Antec Sonata

Lian Li PC 60

or possibly an old generic case I got to slavage some goodies from a while back. No idea who made it as there is no branding or serials on it anywhere. Reckon the company who made it could have called it the Cavern you could probably place a regular full tower inside it.

Most likely not something I will keep long term regardless hence the reason I am looking at alternatives to the stock JD210's. Most likely end game is I will use the xeons for 771 to 775 modded boards as I have a couple of those.
From what I can gather the 5460 is the xeon model of the q9550 so would make a couple of decent 775 boards.

Am wondering if I should perhaps edit the thread title as its really a socket 771 question more than a T5400 one

Corecction comment regarding x5460 being the equivalent of the q9550.

Was stuck in my head as I have q9550 laying about and had been doing some spec comparisons. The x5460 actually pretty much beats any of the quad 2 cores.

So no ideas on 771 cooling options then ?
