Hi guys, I have just finished putting together my first gaming PC and have found that with the stock cooler, I can only overclock my i5 2500k to around 4GHz before the temps start to get a little high for my liking. I live in Australia and my ambient temperature usually hovers around 30C and once I start playing my CPU shoots up to around 70C, which is normal but I'd prefer it around 55 to 60c.
I'm looking for a cooler that is relatively quiet and that will get my CPU to around those prefered temps or close but I have no idea where to start. Price isn't a problem but I'd prefer to have a cooler that doesn't attach to the MB with those stupid push lock things the i5 comes with. They just don't seem secure enough to me.
Also, I'd like to avoid the huge Noctua and Thermalright coolers as they seem like overkill for the overclock I want to achieve ( 4.5 GHz)
