Cougar Vantar Scissor Gaming Keyboard Review

I've been looking at this for ages. If my mech board dies it's definitely going to be my next keyboard. The price is awesome too, plus Cougar's stuff is made very well for the price.

I need to try a scissor switch keyboard. Im after a keyboard that has low travel and doesnt take much force to press the keys down. Im a big fan of cougar products.

I really like my Cougar mouse so if the board is as good it should be a nice item

Everything Lepa/Lepatek make is nicely put together. I've had their fans and a couple of other bits so I know how well made they are.

The noise of my mech board really does do my head in sometimes.

I tried using a chiclet gaming keyboard once. It was a pleasant experience for gaming (although a keyboard without macro keys and dedicated media buttons is not for me), but it wasn't a very good typing experience. But that might have been due to it's size. The keyboard in question was Redragon Karura 502, and it's really huge. This one looks much smaller so typing might be OK.

Actually Alien that looks nice too

Yup I bet the mouse is nice and sturdy too, being a no frills sorta thing. It uses Omron switches, which are the type used for arcade controllers etc. I mean for £50 you can't touch it really. Not when even the cheapest mech board on the planet is £30, and then I went and spent £35 on bloody key caps for it !

So yeah, not exactly full on mech, but full on mech drives me nuts when I don't have my headphones on. Also drives my buddy nuts when we are gaming.
