Corsair's monitor survey hints at the company's gaming ambitions

I don't know whether I want another 'gamer orientated' monitor company. I feel like they're only going to repackage the same panels, just in slightly different ways. That's fine when the core product is excellent, but for me, ASUS, Gigabyte, MSI, they're all behind when it comes to monitors. They make great monitors, definitely, but they're very expensive. Meanwhile Pixio and others like Prism+ are offering the same panels at much cheaper prices. The issue being, they're often very difficult to get a hold of outside of South-East Asia.

They offer worse panels. That's why they are cheaper. They get the B rated panels. Not the A.

That's also why none of them have the more advanced expensive panels. The other companies just use them for other cheaper monitor models.

As long as they stay away from yet more crappy VA panel dross that other brands keep shoving out the door.



The PC monitor market doesn't need any more VA panels being passed off as suitable/ideal for 'gaming'.

ASUS us actually ahead of the curve with its ELMB-Sync tech. Offering Adaptive sync and ELMB concurrently on some of their latest screens.

Currently very happy with my PG279Q, And although I am a fan of Corsairs products, Their monitor would have be seriously game changing, No pun intended, For me to consider it a worthwhile purchase.
