"Although there is no mention that the product even exists on Corsair's own Website, U.K.-based online retailer, Scan, purports to now be selling a 128GB solid-state drive (SSD) from Corsair. As a matter of fact, Corsair's site makes no mention that the company has even entered into the SSD market; albeit, such a move is a logical choice for a memory manufacturer, as other memory makers, such as Crucial, Kingston, and OCZ, have already made the plunge into SSDs."

ok, the only two possibilities i think are, or the store is selling an SSD drive as corsair because everyone already know about corsair quality, or corsair really made an SSD and didnt update their site neither give any information about their product.

but still i dont think the store would do that, but corsair wouldn't make this mistake, afterall its not good for sales.

From what I've heard, Corsair weren't totally sold on the idea of SSD and wanted to research their own alternatives. But in the end they just decided to go with re-branding Samsung SSD's instead.

That's just grape vine material tho :)

Interesting..now if they just throw in that lifetime warranty that their memory products carry, certainly would be enticing.

I actually like the SSD however they are far too expensive right now compared to traditional disks to make the plunge.

I agree with you HypoG. Although the performance is high above current HDDs on the market the price/performance ratio isn't there. It makes more sense for those of us who have to budget our upgrades to wait until the prices are nearer the £1/GB mark. At least by that stage the drives will have matured and offer much higher and more consistent speeds than are currently being offered.
