Corsair Obsidian 250D ITX Case Review

I know there is already the 350D, but a slightly bigger M-ATX version of this case would be awesome.
Call it the 255D or something similar :D

shame my 780 wont fit in this, otherwise id have it tomorrow!

I asked something similar (deleted?). If the Asus DCUII 290 won't fit since couple of millimeters are needed, what about the 280? It is 0.1" smaller, and I've seen some others mentioning it is possible.

Tom says that anything with the DCUII basically can't fit. :(

Was more me worried about that heatpipe on or right near the window dude. The 290 and 290X heatpipe gets SOOOOOO hot Id worry about it melting the window :p

I've sent a question to Corsair (regarding 280X at least, which is a few millimeters shorter), hopefully they will reply, and hope I'll be able to fit it in this neat case. Thanks! :D

Windforce

I was wondering if Gigabyte Windoforce cooled video cards (specifically the 760 rev 2) would fit in this case. It is about 4 mils too long (according to official specs, but they also give a >100m clearance for cpu coolers, which is not quite the case) at 294mm long. It does have what looks like plastic protruding from the top, and if you had one on hand it would be really helpful if you could test it.

As Ive said in the video we cant go through every GPU with everyone.

Youve only got to google image to see that the DCUII's are much wider than a normal sized card.

The Gigabyte is a normal sized card............

The reference you made was from most of Harry Enfield's Kevin & Perry sketches.

You said to put it in the comments section and nobody else had (they were all talking about computer stuff, pfft!), so I did.

I also watched Laurens review of this and she fit the DirectCUII in it with the roof panel on?

Im not sure the heatpipes are identical across the whole range matey - I have some where the door doesnt fit at all by a few mm and then some where the heatpipe touches the window.

Either way a searing hot heatpipe isnt going to be good against plastic. I took the safe route and warned against it to cover my arse - like I have too lol.

Ahh okay Tom, I'm not sure of the exact card she was using, it did look tight when she fitted the roof panel back on and like you said, I wouldn't fancy the window melting all over the inside of the rig!

I guess it's a good job you mentioned that, anybody who might just watch hers alone and get the case with that cooler might run into some trouble later on.
