Corsair's new 5000T chassis is designed to "make a lasting impression". Does it?

I'll be honest, That's garish, And that's coming from someone who likes RGB.
The price is too much, They've padded it out with the Commander XT and LL fans.
The detail that severely puts me of this design is the solid square edge on the psu cover, it does not match any of the round corners on the rest of the case and it stands out so much.
Yeah, now you point it out, I cant unsee it.
I have no idea who approved this oversight, but it is a big one.
I like the curves on the panels, they could work really well with the right light setup inside and outside the case, but this square psu cover just ruins the lines of the case.
I think charging £350 for a 5000D frame that has some curved bits of plastic and cheap LED strips is also an oversight![]()
I don't get why they don't put a bigger Commander Core in it... the case is designed for 4-7 fans and the Commander only supports 6 AND the CPU block has to be connected as well.
I recently built a machine with Elite Capellix 360 rad in a Corsair 5000D and then you have two Commander Cores, but a single one isn't enough and you can't interconnect them to make RGB control actually easy...
Cost. Plus the case is expensive enough. You want to pay more for nothing but lighting features?
The CPU block does not need to be connected at all. It can still be recognised I believe.
AFAIK with the Capellix coolers the motherboard connector is just a tachometer but doesn't supply actual power hence the need for the Commander Core that comes with them.
