for my RIG in my sig But with a quad core instead of a c2d? I think it is i would like a reply soonish please if possible

If you can spare the extra for the 620w, i think that would be a better option - just as quiet (minor variance), but alot more capable on the 12v rails where you need the power.

i already have the 520w i was just making sure it could handle the extra requirements from the Q6600

Are you overclocking?

Benching 3dm06 with my quad at 3.6ghz, ram and gts OC'd my rig pulled 570w from the mains.

It will handle things but you won't have much headroom at all.

Switching to the 6850 @ 4.0ghz my rig pulled around 400w!

If i O/C it will only be to about 2.8-3.0GHZ i probably wont until i can afford a new PSU.. i new it would be tight... but it should handle it right? 'cause i just ordered the Q6600 lol.

570 watts - crikey! :yumyum:

It'll probably be fine for now, but as Mr. Smith said, would not give you much headroom. PCs are using more and more power with every new generation of technology, especially videocards. For now, I would go with at least a 650W unit.
