Corsair have released a bracket to fit your Hydro CPU AIO watercooler to a 290 or 290X GPU

Oooh excellent 290X + 120mm rad works nicely :) what fan speed were you running on the H75 boss? 100% SP120L?

Yeah he said it in the vid.

EDIT: Oh no he said, we didn't run it at 100% but then doesn't say :p

yes 100% he said it at around 19:40 minutes in the vid

It sounded like 'Obviously we didn't run it at 100% on the H75' to me  Was that a misquote on my behalf or did he do a speaking typo lol. A 2700RPM SP120L is more or less as loud as the leaf blower, there was so much talk of the re-fitted blower RPM which basically doesn't matter, it just got a bit confusing. The video would have made a little more sense if we just watched the testing with the usual, here's the temps at 5v, and 7v, and 12v.. and you could hear them all relatively.

Edit:

Wasnt 100% no - probably around 70% but did say if you back it right off the GPU will hit around 60c

Thought so thanks Tom, that all makes sense now.

Whaaat?! I can't believe it. I was talking about this with a friend last night and the day before I was looking online for further information of this item. It seemed like it was just a proyect who got canceled by the release of the 970 & 980s. One of the reasons why I bought my R9 was because of this item being announced and I wanted to fit it on my Corsair 250D to have both of my chips W-Cooled. I know it seems like a dificult task to pass the tubing through such a small case because of the hight of the case with the cards almost touching the top of the case but I then came to find out online that some one managed to work it around on the NZXT G10 on the very same case.

cool review tom, i'll be looking into this and you also gave me an idea for that blank side i'm thinking somthing custom that blends in nicely :D, also tried that valley program on my r9 290 ref full load gave me 74c to 75c on extreme hd :D

Depends what monitor you have dude - at 2560x1440 and the fan on auto it WILL hit 90c because they are designed to by AMD

yeah it's just you're average acer monitor full hd 1080p 2ms, max refresh 75hz, till i upgrade again focused on a custom case mod atm, gpu is oc'd, the auto fan is set at custom setting's, running on a oc'd i7 4770k, playing about with it atm

Can wait until Corsair releases one for a GTX970 :D, Awesome video again Tom :)
I did notice in some of the youtube comments the NZXT fan boys were coming out of the wood work

How much of a difference is there between VRM temps using the HG10 instead of a full cover block on an R9 290 ? I ask as a couple of benchmarks exist on other sites, but I'm just not convinced they are completely accurate. Also, do you guys think a 290 + HG10 + Gelid VRM kit could drop VRM temperatures even more? Any advice would be appreciated!

@Dubes: With reference cooler the VRMs on my card get really hot, they sometimes hit the 95°C now I'm using a full cover EK block on it and they droped to 40-45°C at full load, on idle they just running on about 31-34°C depends on the temperature in my room.

I would never use these "compact" coolers but in some times could be better for your purce and if you have no enough space to make a custom loop.

In my opinion they are not a good looking ones. :)
