Meh, all in one water coolers![]()
An XSPC RASA kit or a custom loop is the way to go.
Maybe, but not everyone has the techincal knowledge or confidence to install a custom loop or kit. So these products do fill a gap in the market. It would be interesting to see how the H100 with 4 fans stacks up against the high end air coolers like the Silver Arrow and D-14.
I'm pretty interested in putting the H100 in my 650D for my next build around Halloween, but I'd like to see the temps and performance are like, but mainly because:
1. I'm not brave enough to try WC myself and tbh cant be @rsed with the maintenance.
2. They have actually bothered to make a gd, easy to install mounting system now.
3. I like the inside of my rig to look tidy and smart, and as great as an NH-D14 is, imho it looks like a dog and would take up a lot of room in my window, as I like seeing all the components not just a thumping big cooler (and yes I do realise I'll be shunned for speaking ill of the NH-D14, just remember I would never knock it's performance.....well because you can't, but simply it's size and looks).![]()
There is no denying how clean the all in ones make the inside of your rig, and I'm more than happy to trade off some £ and 5 - 10 degrees C, especially as 2500K's/2600K's run a fair bit cooler than my i7 950 ever would. But of course this is all dependant on the performance as £90 is a lot to shell out if it's no btr than a Dark Rock Pro or NH-D14.
Tim please do a review of this??
I've been waiting forever for a commercially-available all-in-one with a larger rad.
