Hey guys,

Just wanted to ask you people who have the 250D and H100i from Corsair, what type/kind of scews you should use if you plan on putting the rad straight up against the side of the case?.
As if you would have fans there, you get those longer screws that goes through the fan and into the radiator... but if you wouldn't have any fans on that side then, what screws should you go for then?.

Thanks

not entirely sure but i think the h100i uses m3 screws.. so you'd want 5mm m3's
in any case, you'd need a 5mm version of whatever thread it uses

Okay, cool... will check up on that one, thanks :)

a camera and a bit of photoshop

You just use the standard H100i screws - I did it in the 250D review.........

Exactly!

Will also mention that right-angled SATA cables will help significantly but that will depend on what board you're using and where the ports are located, that and how many of the ports you need to utilize.

You did, but I don't mean in that configuration - you have the fans between the rad and the case, I'm asking what screws to use if you have the rad right next to the case and no fans in between :)

I might go with your config, untill I've gotten the screw off Corsair, as it was over 2 years ago I got the H100i and don't have the box or anything from it left.

These are the mounting screws that come with the H100i, you just use the little ones, probably with the washers and paying close attention that you don't puncture the radiator or mess up your fins with the back of the screw.

If you've lost them then either contact Corsair (you can buy a full replacement mounting hardware kit). Or alternatively purchase the required screws from a hardware/fastening store.

They are 6/32 UNC thread (NOT M3) obviously get the desired length depending on the thickness of the case 1/8" ish. M3 would probably work a few times as the diameters are very similar but the pitch is slightly off, knowing how well known Corsairs ali rads are for stripping threads I would probably avoid M3 ;) should be easy to find UNC they are still used in other hobbies and industries.
