Hi All,

I am currently in the middle of a build and I was hoping someone here could help. I recently purchased a Zalman Z11 Plus case and was wondering if it is possible to fit a Corsair H100 CPU Cooler in this case?

I have just 2 items left before I complete my build, the CPU cooler and a SSD drive but I dont want to splash out for a H100 if it will not fit in my case.

Can anyone help? Has anyone ever fitted this CPU cooler to this case?

My system specs so far are as follows:

Zalman Z11 Plus Case
ASUS X79 Sabertooth Motherboard (LGA2011)
Intel i7 3930K CPU
Corsair 16GB 1866MHZ Dominator Memory
Corsair AX850W PSU
EVGA GTX 680 GPU

£500 CPU in a £50 case....... Hmmmmmm

Measure the distance between the fans, a H100 is 15mm centre to centre between the two fan mounts. (two mounts closest together)

From photos Id say it doesnt fit but you have the case so you can check it.

just get an air cooler if you're not going to get an h100.

I would but my aim is to get the rig up and running first and then at some point to overclock it. Its going to be my first overclock so i'm not to familiar with the inner working but from what i've read, keeping the CPU cool is a must. I figure I might as well get a liquid cooler as the seem to work best.

A good air cooler beats the H80. If you can't get the H100, go air cooling :)
Noctua NH-D14 is a personal favourite of the forums.

Yeah you need to do more research if you think water works best. The h100 is about on par with an NH-D14......

Just checked some video and pics of the case, looks like the spacing of the top 120 fans will not work with the H100, It may still be possible to mount it if there is enough room which I do not think there is enough room for an H100 and fans. NH-D14 may be a better option for you, A little cheaper then H100 and will perform very well as well as being quieter.

Is the case wide enough for the NH-D14?
And more importantly, will it clear the Dominator Ram?
You could always re-drill the mounts to fit the H100 rad spacing.....

I've got the z9 plus which has the same internals as the z11. I'd be nearly certain the h100 wouldn't fit. The fans only just fit above my gd 55 heatsinks. I would just get a D 14 and be done with as most other people have said.

Thank you all for your help. After much consideration I have decided to go with the Corsair H100. I have stripped my case down to the metal and I am planning on modding it so the H100 will fit. I will be putting it all together over the next few days.

Will keep you guys updated, in the meantime check out my case stripped down:

Will the fans fit between the top of the case and the plastic cover with the vents?

That’s what I was hoping at first but no, I thought I could mount the fans on top of the cage and the radiator underneath the 2 fans. But with the 2 fans mounted on top the top of the case does not close.

I can either buy the Scythe Slip Stream 2000 120mmx120mmx12mm Case Fans which just might squeeze in and allow the top of the case to close or to continue using the Corsair fans I’m going to have to modify the fans.

Will try to modify the Corsair fans first as not a big fan of the Scythe. Will let you know how it turns out.

I have those Scythe fans and they will not work well with the H100. You will need a fan with higher static pressure.

Can you trim away a little bit from the inside portion of the top plastic to allow the fans to fit? Take a pic of the top piece so I can get a better idea of what you are working with.

Or you could just drill a few holes and mount the H100 off center to allow the fans to clear the motherboard.

How much space is there from the top of the mobo to the roof of the case?
You could cut the raised section away and use a flat plate to mount the rad and fans, there is a few mm to grab for free just doing that.
Also, this lets you move things around slightly to gain clearance

My plan was to trim away a little from the inside of the case and the corners of the fans as well. Never thought of just drilling new holes to mount the h100 off centre, might give that a go as it seems to be the most viable option, thanks!!

Here are more pics, any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
