I just bought this case with a load of other stuff and I'm looking on input regarding the best fan setup. Specs are:
Corsair Carbide 600Q case
EVGA Supernova P2 750w PSU
ASUS Strix GTX 1080 Ti OC gfx
ASUS Z270 TUF Mark 2 m/b
Intel i7 7700K @ stock speed / offset voltage -0.40 (still need to properly test reducing voltage)
Kingston HyperX 16GB DDR4-3200 RAM
Noctua NH-D15S CPU cooler
Bunch of Noctua fans in 140/120mm option (yes sir I have it all!)
Gaming temps with GTA 5 are:
CPU maxed out at 63C
GPU maxed out at 72C
Alright so right now the plan was to set up a neutral pressure in the case with 2 x 140mm fans in both the front and back/buttom. So 4 fans total, 2 in 2 out. But that plan seemed to backfire a bit since the PSU gets pretty hot due to the graphics card and starts spinning up its fan under GPU load, which I can't control in any way (hybrid fan). Which makes me believe that I'm actually doing negative pressure due to this.
So right now the only option I see is actually doing positive air pressure getting as much air in as possible, example I could use 3 x 140mm pushing air in and 1 x 140mm pulling air out. Or I could do 2 x 140mm air in, 2 x 120mm air in, 1 x 140mm air out.
Also I have to say the high CPU temps does annoy me somewhat, and I wonder if the Noctua NH-D15S just isn't good enough for the job, if an AIO would be best considering the CPU load probably is only around 20% total. I'm guessing the excess heat is coming from the graphics card in this situation. Looking at the Fractal Celsius S24, but I'm not certain having the AIO located in the bottom in the case is such a great idea (the tubes are too short for it to sit in the front on the S24 i believe).
