Hi guys,

I'm building a new rig namely

CPU: Intel 3770K Ivy Bridge LGA1155

Memory: Corsair Vengeance 16GB 1600Mhz

GFX: Asus GTX570

Motherbord : not sure which to take (tips always welcome) at the moment it is asus Maximus V Gene

PSU: OCZ 650W

what I wanted : Thermaltake Chaser MK-I LCS (Liquid Cooling System) but I read that the bigwater 850GT was a bad watercooling solution.

so then I search for a alternative and this is what I now want

Case: Corsair 600T white windowed

Watercooling: XSPC Rasa 750 RS240

I have heard that the XSPC Rasa 750 RS240 won't fit in the Corsair 600T White, I only want to cool the CPU (northbridge would be nice but it it's optional) because of my budget I only want to spend +- 300€ at the case + watercooling.

can you guys give me advice?

Greetings,

Tokke

wouldnt get the rs240, most people recommend a thick 240MM radiator for every major heat source now im not sure how cool them IB cpus are but a rs240 would be pushing it, sure it would look good but your temps wouldnt be brilliant.

if i was you fractal arc midi + rx240

alot of people say the rs240's are trash but I've seen two ex240's (same thickness as rs) cool a 2600k and a 590 (not sure if overclocked cpu but I found this when I was curious if anyone had done a full watercooling job in the 500r http://forums.overcl...ad.php?t=997916

So I'm sure you could cool the cpu with an rs240 your temps may not be groundbreaking so you shouldn't fry your cp just look at the h100 it is thinner than the rs240. But like Ruthless said the rx240 is a better option for some more decent temps and possibly a quiter system (lower fan rpms).
