Cores running reallly hot...

Hey guys,

I seem to have a problem with my cores running really hot. Its only when i compile in Visual C++ they get this hot and hit the 60'c mark but idle they are at about 20'c and 14'c. My actual CPU temp is only 22'c which is why im confused however my CPU fan is running at 113RPM on auto. Any ideas?

Specs are in profile and i de-clocked it to stock clocks and its still doing the same :)

Cheers

Could be a mistake in the readings or could just be a misplaced heatsink. I run Crysis on all maxed out 1280x1024 and normally get to 55-60c on FULL LOAD. You shouldn't worry too much, my idle temps are right now 36c.

Maybe someone can shed some light for you.

Yeah when compiling it is on full load so and when i play crysis on high 12800x1024 it runs at about 50'c maybe im just getting worried over nothing. :)

Can i turn my fan speed up more in the BIOS do you think?

Your fan speed should be set to auto, should automatically speed up when under stress. You can have a wonder and see :).

I was worried also when I first seen the temps, I use the stock HS and this is why it's so high :D, that will be gone very soon though.
