Cooling fan suggestions for radiator

Hi Lads

Just looking for some feedback on what make of fans (120mm) to use with my radiator. My preference would be for not ear splittingly loud, but I'm prepared to compromise somewhat. All recommendations appreciated, but please give reasons why so, I can compare pls. Excuse the daggy images, the rad has been cleaned up already and the shroud made. Tomorrow, it heads into a mates place for installation of the 1/2" fittings to replace the existing piping. I'll post pics of it in my build thread later.

perhaps a small quite tablefan would work.

they can push alot of air much more than small 120mm fans and still be rather quiet.

I recommend the YS-Tec 125cfm fans. They are dirt cheap and reasonably quiet (especially with a 7v fan mod or fan controller)

That's a heatercore right? Well, those things in general work best with higher CFM and pressure fans. So, a 38mm wide fan would be best. Panaflow or YS-Tech I suppose then?

what did you make the shroud from PV, can we get some pics?
The shroud is made frrom light gauge tin mate. I'm just doing some chores around the house and then I'll take some pics of her for ya :)

I'd go with a few Yate Loon's, PV :). 48CFM @ 28dBa, but they're soooo quiet. Have two on my rear BIP, push pull. Moves decent air.

I used the Silverstone 120mm Fans (about £8 from Scan). I've found them to be useful for getting the perfect balence between noise & performance - especially with the bundled fan controller (which is quite moddable btw) and being 8 (or 9?) bladed, push a fair amount of air for very little noise.
