As it's been a while since we've looked at a CoolerMaster cooler, we thought we'd take a gander at the new Hyper 212X.

CoolerMaster Hyper 212X Review

Excellent review Gary! I'll be grabbing one of these for the old mans rig now, the Gigabyte cooler he has at the moment is driving me nuts with the revving it does

I can't praise these coolers high enough to be honest, my 212 evo is coping nicely with my 3570k at 4.2ghz on 1.15v, it barely scratches 65 degrees in the summer with a corsair sp quiet edition fan on it.

They are, awesome coolers for the money and i recommend them all the time when people don't want to spend a lot.

I have the 212X with the 82.9 CFM fan on my QX6800 which is a 130W TDP

at stock speeds I get 60+ degrees at load and around 40 degrees on idle

This was a great little review and interesting to see how a cheaper option performs and this is a very respectable unit

I'm still partial to Mugen 4 since it's only slightly more expensive but copes a lot better with overclocked setups. It is an arse to install compared to this, though.

Been a fan of these coolers since the 212+. I ran that thing on my old 8150 and it handled it up to 4.3 GHz! I consider them the best coolers on the market dollar for dollar. Looks like they're still up there with this new one too.
