We take a look at Cooler Masters latest Cosmos the SE. At £140 this is much more affordable than full fat Cosmos 2 so is this a bargain or a cut too far?
Heh, Still tempted by the case. I love the Cosmos look and while I'd love the full sized one I don't have the space and I occasionally go to LAN parties. Kinda glad I didn't get the 7990 now...
I love those nifty HDD mounting trays which just snap it into place and can also take two SSDs, it really is the little things that make big differences
It's a shame about the funny placement of the front two fans though
That drive cage is a really good idea, having two on one slot. Also a good idea having the retractable side to install a normal HDD. +1 on that idea.
It's a nice'ish case but it just doesn't look the same quality of the Cosmos 2, but obviously that costs a lot lot more, and with that you need a lot of space to seat it.
I'd be more tempted to go for the Cosmos 2, it looks gorgeous but this just looks to me personally basic and plastic. I'd like to see what Tom could do with it though, and yeah give him a white one!
Ive currently got the Cosmos S. Nice case but shame about the silver and the dodgy cable holes. Ive been holding of Cosmos 2 for a while just purely because of the price. Recently seen the Cosmos 2 in person at Scan. Big??? Wow. I did see this in a display box but couldnt see inside. I was abit dissapointed in the insides. Looks like im gonna be getting a Cosmos 2. I did like the looks of Phantom 820 until Tom said its not as good as the Switch 810 but i dont like that.
Cosmos 2 is huge, never seen it in person but I had the Cosmos and even if you just get the tape measure out you can see it'll be a monster, but £300 is to much.
If only they had some sort of cover over the drivebays on the SE, like the one on the full size Cosmos 2. Completely spoils the look of the case and makes it look cheap having the drivebays look like that in my opinion. Other than that it looks good, just wish they had given room for a full size rad in the roof.
