Cooler Master announce their COSMOS II 25th anniversary chassis

Good looking case but i have to say i am not a fan of the color combination, i think many will probably not buy it cause it wont fit the build

That's a good looking case... When I built my pc about 4 years ago the Cosmos II was my first choice, but ended up settling for another CM-case because of the price vs. budget. My next build will hopefully include a Phanteks case, but I might have to consider this one as well...

It's a Cosmos 2 with silver on it and glass doors. That's it. Internal layout is still absolute poo for water cooling as it's the same years old design.

They are nice (I've had one) but yeah, I would hate to set up a loop in it.

I'm shocked that CM would release such a minor re-hash of a dead case. I had a Cosmos too, YEARS ago. Why the heck they wouldn't actually modernize this big ugly thing is beyond me. This just doesn't compete.

The Phanteks Enthoo Luxe I bought recently was under $200CDN, came with FOUR 140mm static pressure fans, a PWM hub that can drive 3-pin fans as well as 4-pin RPM ones, RGB light bars, and tempered glass. Not to mention looks tons better, is nice to work in, and how has a 420 rad in the top and a 360 in the front. This CM effort is way beyond lame.

The Cosmos 2 is beautifully made. Everything fits perfectly. I'd never have another one though. For that much air space in my flat I would want twice the internal rooom.

This is just laziness. Probably had a load of the internal parts left over lol.

the original was pretty hefty, I bet that heft went up a couple more notches with glass doors :) Not sure if that's good or bad, I bet full of h/ware it's a bit of a mare to move around, handles or otherwise...

I think mostly because it's just absolutely massive. But a lot of the space is fairly wasted for what it is imo.

When I bought mine I really did not realise just how big it was. I looked at the SE and the original one (still some new stock floating around) but decided that I would get the 2 because it was in stock at Ebuyer for £280 or so, which was cheap for an "ultra" case.

It was just so big though man. The box for it was about the size of a fridge ffs so I had to immediately get rid of it meaning selling it on would be a nightmare. To work on it I had to rotate it around on my desk in front of my monitor and both it and the monitor ended up damaged. Thankfully the damage to the monitor was only on the gloss frame and it polished out, but the marks from it hitting my glass shelves on the wall next to it were terrible.

It was also the dustiest case I have EVER had. The two 120s at the bottom cooling the hard drives would literally fill that void with dust within about three days. I'm talking full on blankets here.

The internal chamber whilst impressively large was not that big, and I failed in my quest trying to fit two 120mm H55s to my Titan Blacks. There was nowhere to mount the rads at all not even with modding.

So it ended up down the dump. I almost took a photo of it sitting there looking sad and helpless but just left it. Tried giving it away but no one wanted it.

In its day it was impressive I suppose but trends and tastes have moved on.

Very nice! I owned the original Cosmos way back and as SuB said, its a hefty bugger! Very solid high quality feeling case though..
