Connector / Power questions..

Hey!

Im in the middle of a build and have a few questions as electricity isnt really something I know alot about..! :)

I bought a LED station for 20 LEDs from mod/smart. its only 2 pins as you can probably guess, but can I run 7 fans, 2 pumps and 6 LEDs from that? it gets power from a 4 pin power connector (commonly referred to at molex).

should also say that the pumps are the small ceramic pumps from alphacool :)
 
Yeh - absolutely fine. Most psus come with 4 molex connectors per cable and so it doesnt make any difference whether you wire them all into 1 port, or split it between the 4 as they all go to the same place.

You can only overload the rails - not the ports themselves

another quick question.. can you get some of those small connectors like those from the power/reset switch in the frant panel? and if so, where?

btw, which two cords are used in a fan and why are there 3 when it doesnt have any LEDs?
 
ehm.. what I mean is: there are 3 wires comming from my noctua fans but the LEDs I have there are only 2.. so isnt one of the fan wires "not needed" so to speak?

I really dont know anything about that so its probably an idiotic question..


they dont have those connectors sadly... :/
