Condensation

Hey Guyz, (currrently using my old Abit KT8 Pro board) used PCB lacquer on the board to help protect the components, and used a good amount of seal string to make a tight seal - but on the back plate, and around the mach head there is a high condensation build up - the mach evaperator sits between -53 and -47.... any idea why this condensation is building up?? Thanks,

I`ve never used a Mach so i`m clutching at random straws here... Do you have heating elements in these places? If so...are they working?

heating elements? my graphics card generates heat :P

as you can see here its sealed up pretty well but causing condensation >_<

For my Vapo setup, I have a heating element on the back of the mobo and one in gasket. i`m guessing they`re there for a reason :)

Well the condensation is building there because it is too cold, i presume your CPU is idling?

Put the CPU under constant load and that should help to generate more heat and stop the back being so cold. If you want to leave it idling you need more insulation on the back, either with heaters to raise the temp high enough so condensation doesnt form, or dielectric grease or a bit of close cell neoprene foam to give you some more insulation on the back.

well since i put the mach2 GT controller in i've been running at turbo speed - i'll set it to low noise so then its not cooling the evap so low!

If they are cold to the touch there is a good chance your heater elements are not functioning. This can be due to firmware/ usb connection/ bad connection.

I have experienced all of the above! Where you describe the condensation, it should usually be warm to the touch due to the heat from the elements.
