If you liked F.E.A.R. you should definitely give this game a try.

You play a detective that is on the trail of a serial killer.

It's a FPS just like F.E.A.R., definitely creepy/scary at times. Much more so than F.E.A.R. IMO.
 
I jumped a lot more playing this game than I ever did in FEAR. There's one part that just scared the crap out of me. I knew it was coming but like a good horror movie, it still scares you when it happens.
 
condemned reminds me of a new Silent Hill kinda (better obviously). Real scary and jumpy

And creepy - don't forget creepy :)
 
I gotta get me some of these games. The last scary game i played was System Shock aaagggeeess ago.
 
Damn i'm going to have to repartition my windows part so that I can fit all these cool new games on there.

Actually, how well do reckon XP would run off of a FireWire 800 hd? That would about max the r/w speed of a hd mefinks... I might just do it!

Should run sweet. Do they do SATA PCMCIA cards? Then u could use that Thermaltake thing?

Yeah they do make SATA2 expresscards but I only have one slot, it would be a pita having to swap the cards all the time...

I just ordered a 300gb Maxtor OneTouch FW800 drive from ZZF, it should be here monday mefinks. We'll see if a) I can even run bootcamp from an external drive b) if its going to be fast enough to support windows without feeling uber slow (i think it should be fine).

Agreed, I think its the most addicting game since 1.6 came out!

I used to play duke nukem 3d like I play css now :p ahh yes, the good ol dn3d days :)
 
i've almost completed Condemned.. (been a little too busy for the finale just yet) and i have to say it's far more "in your face scary" than fear is, i mean fear was a revolution in making you jump, as i expected from monolith. far superior to doom3 for example.. it caught you off guard, but condemned is just in your face make you **** your pants scary :D i loved it all the way through :) they really showed off the engine well with it too :) added alot of extras.. i still to this day wish that monolith would port over, or at least make a new game of Aliens Versus predator, the whole green glowing laser light thing just reminds me of the predator every time i see it! the world needs a brand spanking new version of AVP!!! and the engine used on fear and condemned seems totaly suited to it to me, they just need to improve the texture resolution on the faces and bam... u've got my new favourite game..

speaking of avp, anyone got an xp working copy of AVP Gold ? or even AVP?
