They cant be sued if its been decompiled correctly. If there are no objects, or source code of any sort, Nintendo will have a hard time.

If I remember right. It is not illegal to decompile anything. However distributing decompiled material is. I could be wrong.

US, DMCA Section 103(f) explicitly states that it is legal to reverse-engineer a program or circumvent protection schemes for the purpose of achieving compatibility.

Get it right. Has nothing to do with fat men at Nintendo. This is all greedy lawyer action 100%. The "fat men at Nintendo" will not have a clue about any of it, just the rabid lawyers who work in their IP department. Every corporation has one.

Mostly because you know? they don't want any Tom or Harry coming along and making bank off of their ideas and inventions. And that is more than fair enough.

This on the other hand? I wish them luck. If no money is changing hands there will be little to nothing even their lawyers can do. Mostly because they will be chasing shadows once it is out there. They will just do what they do to Torrent links. Keep getting governments to delete it, but it will just keep coming back like a sore on their ass.
