CM Storm Trooper Review

Hey all, I've a question for Tom or anyone who has time to answer please. I'm definitely getting a CM Storm Trooper however I was wondering which is a better choice between:

1. SGC-5000-KWN1 (Window Panel) [Link]

or

2. SGC-5000-KKN1 (Mesh Panel) [Link]

Basically the same case but either with or without a window panel.

Personally I like the look of the window panel version however I'm wondering - would it be worse in terms of cooling than the non-window (mesh) design one instead? Which I've read can have 2 x 120mm fans attached to the mesh panel.

Any and all advice is much appreciated, thank you all in advance!

Unless you have like 3 or 4 graphics cards crammed together there is no need for side panel cooling as all it only really helps with is blowing fresh air straight between the cards, 1 gpu or 2x gpu with a gap you will see pretty much no difference, get the windowed version if i were you dude.

If i had the choice of either the mesh or window when I bought my trooper i'd have gone for the window. The only real advantage of the mesh panel would be the fans but they would collect ALOT of dust inside the system.

Thanks guys, I'm going to get the Window version - my mind's at rest now!

Can you actually get a windowed version somewhere? I can't seem to find it. Probably getting it too...

All of my want for this case....
Was looking at the Phantom 820 when I saw this. Cheaper and so nice!
Would love to replace my old Powercolor rig with this beast.
The windowed version costs around $15 more, which seems the better option.

I used this to build my mates rig. The build quality is excellent. The hard drive bays were a little fiddly to re-orientate though as I wanted to utilise the front fan bays as intakes.

Ive just bought one of these cases, I cant wait to start putting it all together. When I looked at the case the quality was better than expected and I expected it to be good, it looks very smart and well built also. Looking for a reason to buy a Stryker now so I can have both :D

i'm planning to build myself a new computer
for gaming and i have desided on this case
but i'm only wondering if anyone could tell me
if it's possible to mount a H110 in the top with push pull
without having to sacrfice the handle, or if i could mount a H110 at all in the case :headscratch:

You can install a 60mm thick rad with one set of fans in this case.
It will fit a H110 in push pull just fine mate =]
