Cloning software

Am hoping to put a Sata 3 SSD in my pc this month for the OS and want to know what free software would be best to clone the current OS drive. Cheers.

best to just do a fresh install of your OS on your SSD really. disconnect all your drives and just attach the SSD, install your OS and all your programs. then it's just a matter of reconnecting your Hdd (make sure you have your SSD are priority boot drive), then its just a matter of sorting all your shortcuts and wallpaper etc and your'e readying to rock n roll

In that case what's good software for putting OS onto a USB stick as don't use a optical drive. Heard Win2Flash is one.

I would recommend using "EaseUS Disk Copy" it's simple to use and Free. It makes an exact copy of your old drive on to the new one.

I always recommend PartedMagic for this sort of thing. It's an OS that you'll have to either burn to disk or copy to a thumb drive, but that means that there will be little to none overhead. Has a lot of other useful features (such as partitioning) and it's free.
