Civilization VI's "Fall Update" adds DirectX 12 support

Cities Skylines needs DX12 or Vulkan as it's severely CPU bound, The performance on that game is dire once you get to a biggish sized city.
 
It's bogged down because nearly everything is scripted. So each person or car is scripted, then you have different types of cars and people, so it's a huge list and when everything is trying to process a script, it slows it down a lot. Vulkan/DX12 won't help all that much. They would just need a better system that's more efficient
Civ VI doesn't really have this problem because I don't think anything is scripted. So they are able to use just a few algorithms and be done. Much more efficient.
