I've bought my last two OS's... XP Media Centre that came with free Vista upgrade for when it came out. Then bought Vista Home Premium 64...

I will admit I used a dodgy one in the past, but got sick of them needing to be reinstalled every 6 months.

Figured at the very least the main bit of software everything else is installed two should be legit!!

NAH!!! got me a nice Vista Ultimate pre cracked one, so on install there is nothing to do besides sit back, relax and let the updating begin, I must admit though, i do reformat a hell of a lot. At least once every 2 months...

Then if something goes wrong, i can blame microsoft.

Mate... You just said you have to reinstall every 2 months or so??

I haven't had to reinstall due to OS failure once since buying my own a couple of years ago.

For £65 it is a bargain if you ask me.

Think you miss understood bungral me old chap...

I no where said it was due to OS being stupid, I said "I" reformat. Simply due to having too much crap on my computer and normally having so much overclocking stuff, documents and pictures that I dont need anymore then it makes sense to do a fresh install.

I dont really see how there would be any difference between a copied OS and an original version on a disc? please explain... because as far as i know, when you rip a cd, you rip all of it, and im sure that knowing how precarious an OS install can be, if there was a single file missing, or a corrupt section then it wouldnt install at all, and ive done alot of installs of operating systems for friends, family and myself. Some legit, some not, and no one ever comes back with any bad reports or saying theres a problem.

AND!!! there are some pretty damn good OS's out there that people have made themselves adapting windows and linux. XP darklite is a nice one, aswell as some of the lite versions of both XP and vista. Probably coded better than the originals themselves to allow people to adapt them to the best systems for their computers and use.

So, ill say again, i reformat every few months out of choice, nice and clean, fresh install of drivers and games and progs, cant go wrong. Dont ya think? (ps. and buying it is a complete waste of money)

Absolutely no idea.

Well.. my brother did push me, so I mentioned getting a dress-ish-shirt (in any color other than pink) as I do wear them abit.

If I get sock, socks or an orange, I`ll be happy with that.

Bought loads, and mean loads, of little pc things running up to christmas. 2.5" drives, fans, 2x2g laptop mem, n-router.... I got mehself a gtx280 for the birthday but unlike last year, I don`t feel the need for anything big. I did ponder a 24" screen, but kinda didn't, so I never. Maybe be the next thing to get, when I see one I really like I'll probably jump on it.

Was hoping to get my eyes shot with the lazers during 09, and ofc spending spree in the us if the exchange doesn`t suck.

Eff-it, best thing is I got almost 2 weeks off ! o yeah.
