can u all recommend a build i can do on a z68 that let me play wow on a 1600x1050 22" Samsung 3d monitor that look good and still run smoothly for as cheep as possible. just lost my ability to walk so all i can do is have a computer since i cant afford too spend 15k to fix the safety problems and convert my van to hand controls. i loved to drive and play computer games now i cant do ether. pc more in my reach since i am living on full disability of $738 a month.

i also have a corsair 800d and Logitech g51 speakers that survived the system shorting out. everything but speakers, monitor, and case are toast.

i3 2120 and a 6870 8gb of ddr3 ram....only reason I kno Im sitting watching my neighbour play the the game rite now every things up high on a 24inch 1080p monitor and the fps vary from 44fps to 68fps...the lowest was 44fps obv this could drop further in really crowded areas but hasnt happen yet....

so with your lower res monitor Im assuming you will get better fps, if you ran a similar set up

If you want to have someone totally build it for you, these sort of things are half decent. And of course if you have issues I'm sure they cover that (check)

I might be wrong, but Aria probably do something similar.

Base your fps on somewhere where there are no other players, or offline. For each player or mob that enters you line of sight (360 degrees), a %age of fps will be impacted no matter if you have a £3000 mega computer or an el-cheapo £200 hand-me-down. Each other player/mob requires fetching information from the db on the server. Less so for a mob, but it's still an impact. The better the servers/isps get, the smaller the %age. (it is minute - but factor 1000 players on your screen and suddenly it's a reality)

Memory helps this, but the game is only 32bit, so can't see beyond 4g address space.

Only way to beat that is to visit the server farm, patch directly in, and prioritize your port

I vote PC, just because it's easier to upgrade.

Although Intel has the upper hand with gaming cores, AMD should also fit a nice cheapish budget as well. As WOW isn't extremely demanding like other games (BF3/COD for example) they should do the trick.

i contacted powernotebooks.com about the idea of running wow in ultra or at least high settings with a 720p webcam. mentioned i like steelseries keyboard on msi. thinking with my limited mobility and the fact they plan to fuse 1/2 my spine with rods and screws gaming note book might be my best bet. just not sure what would be a good off the shelf system.

i forgot to mention why i was debating a macbook pro was for a career im cosidering traing for in digital media adobe master. the train u on mac

I play WoW all the time and if you look at my system specs i get 30fps min on my 22'' 1920x1080 Dx11 enabled all max settings in orgrimmar when its busy and pings at 60 when im farming. I wouldnt worry 2 much about a cpu for wow its more of a gpu game. My son also plays WoW with me and he still uses my old socket 939 rig with a 6800gs and he can run on medium settings Dx9 and get 30+ fps.. If all you realy want to do is play MMORPG's and such think video card more then anything. Get yourself a nice 6850 or even a 7770 will do just fine for wow and they wont break the bank. As far cpu and mobo if you realy wana save money the newegg has 965 BE back in stock http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819103727 for $134 i would pair it with a http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131757 $114 or anything ^ and add a http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814131374 for $139. Im probly going to get flamed for this but if you are on a real tight budget you may want to consider getting a APU setup.

You can get http://www.newegg.com/Product/ComboDealDetails.aspx?ItemList=Combo.835843 for $224 and still get max fps and vid qulity at your res. I have this combo setup in my livingroom for my HTPC and i can run dirt 3 at 1080p and hang around 60 fps.

will intel 3000 onboard play wow??

Not really

I built my brother in law a amd llano itx pc using the A8K that I managed to overclocked to 3.6ghz thru in some nice 2x4gb ddr3 ram g skill and a 6670.

Its amazing wee system best thing from AMD so far...hes playing on a 22inch 1080p monitor.

Minecraft high texture packs every thing up as high as they can go and hes getting about 62fps sometimes it will shoot upto 100fps....

Battleforge free to play he gets 52fps when its full on battles like 4 players at once

WOW when theres alot going on fps do shoot down to about 36fps but it normally stays around 59/60fps

he is playing all the games at full settings...only game he did have problems with is minecraft but we all kno how awkward that game can be.

I paid £530 for his sytems but it was a itx build with an asus board with built in wifi and blutooth would have been alot cheeper if I went matx
