Change Asus Z97 VI Gene to MSI Z97 Gaming 7???

Hi Everyone!

Two days ago I bought motherboard from Asus for the 233$.
4690K also I bought.But today i am thinking about changing to Gaming 7 from MSI. MSI's motherboard costs 200$.

But Asus has Cashback Promo.

If I buy to 3 October motherboard from Asus and 4690K processor, the Intel will return me about $ 50 .So motherboard from Asus will costs to about $ 180


Is it worth it to change?

I wouldn't switch to save money on a mobo. I'd get the best I could afford at the time even if I had to put off some memory or 1 gpu, etc. I'd also think about the x99's out now. I don't care for either ASUS or MSI for mobo's though, I prefer Gigabyte personally but it's because I have always used them ever since I replaced an old HP that had an MSI board in it years ago and did my first build. I have never had any issues with the Gigabyte boards and all are still functioning perfectly (for the stats that the tech allowed at the time(s) they were built). All older computers seem slow now.
Buy what you want and make sure it's at least a little bit future proof by being upgradeable with the parts that are going to be produced in the near future. If you have a favorite brand, don't let a sale on a different brand that you haven't tried sway your decision.
