Hi, I'm not very good with server stuff, so here's a really noobish question.
How do I get my dedicated counterstrike source server working?
OK, heres what I've done so far;
1-Downloaded CCS dedicated server from steam.
2-Forwarded all the necessary necessary ports on the server in my router (Netgear DG834G)
3-Given permissions through SP2s firewall to CCS DS.
I have a dynamic IP address but what I do is I connect to my server from my other machine accross the LAN and then my mates find my server using Xfire (This is not a serrious server, just something for a few mates). They can see my server but they are unable to connect to it. I've searched around the net, but alot of what I've found seems to be about the original counterstrike. There must be something simple I'm overlooking here, any help would be much appreciated and maybe you can come along too and put a (virtual) bullet in my (virtual) head
as I'm sure a few of you would like to do that
You can find me on Xfire as zax1972
Thanks.
