Case & PSU decision

Right, my dad wants me to build him a new server. We've nearly decided on the CPU/Motherboard and Ram (should be getting this)

Next we need a case and psu. The requirements for these is silence anda reasonable price. The psu will be powering the above kit and 2 hard drives and 1 optical drive.

Not really fussed what the case looks like, can be a beige one for all i care. But it needs to be quite.

Does anyone have any advice or suggestions on what to go for? Prefer if it was komplett as thats where i'll get the kit from.

ta!

P182? ...thats quite quiet i hear ...

or even the origonal P180

or if you want lots of power and space, the P190...

Cases themselves have little effect on noise, It just the fans in them.

7v some alphacool fans and you've got a nice quiet PC.

ok cheers, any ideas on the psu if the case doesnt make much difference.

Ususal names pop up.

Coolermater do a 400w igreen that can be found nice and cheap. Antec Basiq (or w/e it is) range.

Id say 99% if not all PSUs have thermaly controled fans these days, so as long as your not sucking out all the hot air from the case with it then it'll be fine noise wise.

If not change the fan!

Edit: Found 1: The Antec

I've been eying the same unit, for a "budget" gaming PC (not for me). Last time I checked, I couldn't find any reviews on that model. Have you heard anything about it? Antec makes some good units, but I can't help but feel suspicious about 500W for that price.
