I am getting ready to rearrange my PC setup. My 900D is going to be placed under my table/desk. I toyed with the idea of attaching carpet sliders under the feat to make it easier to move in and out for work and maintenance. This will lead to the possibility of static build up as the case get moved in and out. Would slider material make any difference?

Use felt feet, you can buy packs of them from Wilkos. I don't think you'll be generating too much static.

Edited to add - did you mean up on top of your desk, or under it on the carpet? Your post wording says up on the desk but your question suggests you'll have your tower under your desk.

I have to put mine on the floor and raise it up on a wooden thing. This helps give it some breathing room although carpet is never ideal for a PC.

I'd avoid the sliders unless you know they won't produce any static. Mind you - wearing the wrong shoes is just as likely to build up a charge so just make sure you earth yourself before you touch anything sensitive.

I am not too worried about the 900D and breathing room. I just hate the thought of it jumping when I am pulling it with all the water cooling gear.
