Card Drama

Alright, I bought 2 8600gt's a few months ago and I'm running them on SLI. I've got a CPU, Intel Core2Duo E6700 2.67Ghz 4M 1066FSB Socket 775, and my ram is Crucial Ballistix 2GB (2 x 1GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) Dual Channe. My board is EVGA nForce 680i SLI Socket 775 Motherboard. So okay. I was playing call of duty 4 and in some scenes my fps dropped a deuce on me. the video cards are at like 620 mhz or something crappy like that. What would be the best card to get, dont hold back! I want a single card, I think. And if anyone wants to help me with overclocking my stuff it'd be greatly appreciated, I read the tutorials and stuff but my motherboard doesnt display the mhz for me like 266, 300, etc. It just shows the ending FSB so it starts at like 1066 and I don't wanna jack it up.

~ end rant.

Your PC doesn't run COD4 well??? What resolution are you running at? My single 8800GT and 3800 X2 with 2gb DDR1 runs COD4 pretty well @ 1650x1024 (or whatever it is).

The CPU FSB is just times by 4, so 1066 = 266. To work out your cpu speed just do FSB / 4, * Multiplier.

When you increase CPU speed you will have to increase CPU voltage (and maybe northbridge voltage too), this will create more heat so make sure you have decent cooling.

erm, whats your budget? If you on a budget ide say the 8800GTS 512mb or the 8800GT 512mb.. Or uber budget 9600GT... Uber'er budget HD3850. If you have the cash then 9800GTX or 8800GTX

Budget uhhh $600 ish - so can anyone tell me what the best card to get would be please, link me. My max resolution will be 1280 1024 digital.
