We are looking between Canon EOS 5D and:eek: EOS Rebel T5i, we are holding sporting event, our goal stream live video over IP and coax. We chose HDMI to QAM modulator (DVB-C and IPTV) - our goal is to shorten a delay, we would like to know other's opinion is there any latency difference between Canon EOS 5D and EOS Rebel T5i If I run signal through direct HDMI output in 24Mbps mode? Or if you guys can kindly recommend me better camera for live-streaming, I would really appreciate it.
Thank you in advance!

Welcome to the forums.

First off, why DSLR?

You have chosen two extremes in respect to camera choice. The 5D being a full frame professional body and the T5i being a budget consumer level DX sensor body. A simple rule here when considering DSLR cameras is the lens you are planning to use. Using a high quality lens on a cheaper body will always provide better quality then an expensive body with a cheap lens.

Depending on what you are looking at streaming, there are a lot of considerations past which camera body would be better. What sport are you looking at streaming?

Audio is then another consideration, many DSLR's won't output live video with any audio other than the built in mic.

With the budget based on a 5D, you could easily afford multiple high end cameras built specifically for streaming and therefore have multiple angles for the stream.

Without more information about exactly what you are planning and some form of budget, it is very difficult to offer any real sound advice.
