Can you stick a wi-fi router in a cuboard?

Should work fine. Radio waves go through most things fine. Mine broadcasts a strong signal through a concrete wall.

Should be ok, mines broadcasting through 4 rooms and a floor and is all good (Although my ******* indicator light on my USB reciever wont stop blinking the sod!)
