can the lightnings handle it?

hey everyone

I currently own a samsung bx2450 led monitor, however a pc place in the perth is selling them for only $189!

should I grab an extra two and go triple screen?

thing is my 580 lightnings are only 1.5gb will they be able to handle games such a dirt 3 or bf3 at high resolutions?

will I run into any issue or should I just keep 1 screen and max everything out?

Even if you go triple screen, there's nothing stopping you gaming on the centre monitor and then using all 3 for productivity tasks. The only thing you need to make sure of is whether you can change your display settings from 3 * 1920 * 1080 to 1 * 5760 * 1080 (or whatever the native res is) - when browsing the web, if the screen snaps to 1080 * 5760 its a real pita. I run 3 monitors on a 6950, you should have no probs with dual 580's.

i can't exactly answer ur question but this still might help.

GTX 580 SLI? 3GB should run triple screens fine.

BF3 might have to knock it down to high though.

I'd say you should be fine you may not be able to max out detail etc on games but neither can you on the 3Gb 580s at 3screeen resolutions.

The the main thing is that you get playable fps and you will. Just OC your lightnings more especially the memory!
