Alright well i went out and bought Test Drive Unlimited but considering my situation for the time being idk if i should install it or not. My PSU went out not to long ago and im waiting for its replacement. Since im running on a 340watt PSU (18amps 12v rail) i took one of my HDs out and my 7950GT. (No PSU connector anyways) Im running a 6800 and no OC and im not using my X2 either cause im afraid of power. BUt i can run Doom3 1280x1024 4xAA Ultra no lag. Beefy2 same no lag. Soo idk what do yall think? I havent seen this game in action so idk what to expect and i dont want to waste my time installing 8gig worth of game to play it on medium or low :/

Im really impatient but if i should wait to be able to use my 7950GT i will.

If it's a good PSU, you'll be fine with power draw.

Long story short it probably isnt. Its an HP PSU with a 90mm fan in the back so i have to use the case it came in too which is steel. You can through a cinder block at this thing and it will be fine haha. But no, i doubt it will be fine.

Dell makes a hell of a PSU, but HP usually uses Bestec which isn't that good.

Yea, and it dosent have a PCI-E power connector either and im not going to even attempt to use the converters. Ill just wait and play it safe with this 6800. On topic though, think the 6800 can handle it? I play all the other games maxed.

probably can but some ppl cmplain about random FPS drops

I played it on high at 1024x768 but it didnt look that good and yea, it dropped bad sometimes. So instead i just made a way of using my 7950GT. TBH it seems like this game isnt coded that great just like Oblivion.

if oblivion was coded like TDU we'd be in trouble

To me they are both coded horribly. I think TDU might be worse but i havent played it as exstensively as i have Oblivion. To me though they both have some issues that i cant explain.

Wait.. this discusstion has been had so many times on OC3D. Oblivion is not that badly coded..

But I admit TDU has some silly little issues. That annoying lag I get when motoring!

Id have to disagree, ive seen NUMEROUS places that admit Oblivion is horrible including alot of my friends around the globe. (My friends here are n00bs to that stuff). I believe TDU is worse from what ive seen. Ive had to reinstall it twice to make the "missing textures" go away.
