i just wonder what people think of the AMD's upcoming FX Piledriver? do u think they will recover from there bulldozer blunder??? so this is really a opinion thread and curious what people think.

I really dont think it will be that great, for me the only AMD products i really liked and still do was their Athlon X3 for the low price/performance.....

Guess you could call me an Intel fanboy, but meh,

I'd love to see it happen, but don't think it will. At least it won't be as disappointing this time around if it's not good.

Well since they have openly said that they are no longer competing with intel in the cpu desktop market I very much doubt it. AMD still very much have their place though and if they can optimise the architecture a little and bump the performance of the quad cores up towards the i5s then it would be an ideal gaming cpu.

I think if they can make a great little quad core which packs an adequate punch, runs cool, isn't too expensive for it's power and has PCI 3.0 then they could in fact be on to an absolute winner. And really, that doesn't seem too hard for AMD... However, I doubt this is going to be the "foaming at the mouth with power" sort of CPU we all thought Bulldozer could be

well i am curious to see how it go's and ill keep a open mind, its only fair i think. i started on AMD and use Intel in my last p55 obviously. i am a open minded girl i guess, but i know bulldozer didn't deliver but still got give them a chance on new one. who knows maybe after bulldozer embarrassment AMD wants redeem themselves
