Calling all Android boys, help please.

Lads,

I need to fetch the data from a Galaxy Note, and restore it onto a Galaxy Note 3. Normally, this wouldn't be a problem, but the screen is borked on the Note, and on top of it, there is a lock on it so I can't just connect it up to my rig because no files are visible.

Anyone got any ideas on how to do this? Not sure if there is phones section on the Oc3D forums so I posted in here. Can mods move it if there is? Thanks.

I don't know if USB debugging was enabled on the phone (heard you can do it via SDK) Am going to attempt to do the job tonight (its a favour for a friend)

With the screen locked like that I'm not sure how you could do it. Might try taking it to your carrier's store (Verizon or whoever). They've usually got the tools to recover data from a phone that's gone tits up.

If Kies can't see the files, you've got no chance.

With the lock it's gonna be hard, have you tried touching the screen and feeling for vibrations? if you get one it means the digitizer is still functioning and with a bit (a lot probably) unlock the device.

If you have access to a HDMI adapter, you could connect it to a TV/monitor and see what you are doing.
Edit: on the off chance USB debbuging is enabled you can use Droid@Screen to see the screen on your pc http://droid-at-screen.ribomation.com/

If they fail try Mymobiler it displays your phone screen on you monitor allowing you to control it with the mouse.
