Call of Duty: WWII has been announced

So has WWII to be fair :) I miss brothers in arms? Was that what it was called?

Yeah but at least it's been 9 years since then:p
I have no idea. I just miss the Bfbc2 game. I prefer present day time periods for shooters. I don't care about future stuff, cheezy. Older times have been done to death by every company. COD hasn't done it in 9 years, but still it's been beaten to death.

I understand their possible dilemma: what eras are left? Fantasy might be the only logical thing to do. Oh yeah, battlefield bad company was fantastic!! Always hoped for a third but it never happened.

I was dissapointed with some of the FPS shooters that came out in 2016: Battlefield 1, COD Infinite Warfare and Titanfall 2. COD bored me to death, I just lost interest in Battlefield 1 and Titanfall got way too hard too quickly. A waste of money on all of them, however I'm still playing COD Modern Warfare Remastered. I still love 'The Division' and enjoying Ghost Recon Wildlands. Playing Sniper Elite 4 at the moment but it's not as good as 3.

I am so tired with WWII games. Why don't they make shooter 500 years in the future when you fight aliens, mutants? Like COD Mass Effect edition. There are 3.000.000 games about WWII and they are all the same.

I'm looking forward to seeing this one. WW hasn't really been done in years now. BF1 covering WW1 is a strange game and quite boring as well tbh. But I agree, Vietnam would be nice!

Vietnam is kinda sour subject for America. I don't think games with that theme would get much support in development.

They could make one where you invade a country steal all their oil and leave, to let the country fall to pieces.

Why oh why don't they take a 1980s cold war gone hot scenario now that would be a change too the norm.

Or the East bloc (Bosnia) although I suspect that's too fresh for many - understandable. I had a friend who was sent there and he didn't come back the same. Or maybe they can become unbiased and not have the US play a role whatsoever, making an opening for more options.

I am form Serbia mate, and i can tell you the s**t that happened there is better left alone for a few decades more. :(

In fairness, war is war. Any conflict COD embraces is going to trivialized and butchered. Even futuristic wars are still violent hypothetical wars that could well happen.
