Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered officially has the worst payment model

So it's not a problem that you can get cosmetics in other games with microtransactions but in this game it suddenly is? Generally cosmetic items don't allow players to blend in better, usually they stand out. I see no reason why someone who doesn't want to pay for skins should be at a disadvantage. MWR is a mess in many ways, but in terms of DLC and forcing it on the customers I've seen way worse.

CoD 4 was impressive 10 years ago when it was the new and different shooter with amazing graphics. This remaster is just an old game that I'm sick of with a new coat of paint and now an abysmal business model. Why would I want to buy it? And why would I want to buy another CoD that I don't want just so I could play this one? To say that I'm not interested is an understatement.

Then... don't buy it?

I agree but that is all Dice/EA can do.

I like the idea of loot drops as an added feature and if done correctly (ie Overwatch) paid loot drops are no big deal, but to add micro-transactions to a game that's already behind an "Infinite Warfare" paywall that's 3-4 times more expensive than how much MWR should be worth is absolutely ridiculous!

Even if they made it stand alone THEN announced the loot drop micro-transactions afterwards, I feel that would have been more acceptable. I was pretty much certain I was going to get MWR once they made it stand alone, but now I'm not so sure... All we can do as consumers is vote with our wallets.

Agreed, if they made it standalone first this would have been acceptable. This is only asking money off people who already paid far too much for the game.

I can only assume that the love and hype was purely for MWR and no one had interest in "Infinite"

This probably allows them to report back to shareholders that their latest iteration is selling well. Even if no one is playing it.
