C2D T7700 or T7400?

Ok just bought a new laptop, it was sold as T7700 and after installing Vista Ultimate it effectively said it is a T7700. But when I used CoreTemp it is reported as a T7400, and in CPUZ a T7700... It's indeed confusing and wonder if it's a real T7700 or a T7400?

Any idea?

Id trust CPU-Z over coretemp.

Personal thing there though...

yeh, if cpuz is what your manufacturer said, then i'd believe that over speedfan...

Thanks I also tend to trust cpuz but I was also reading this topic http://forum.overclock3d.net/showthread.php?t=12624 and saw that he has also some difference in the cpu reported by different software, a T7100 to T7500.

could it be possible that the detection of the C2D T series has problem?

sounds like it; i'd again chip in that CPUZ is likely to be correct.
